Until you find what works for you and you just stick with it, do you finally \u201cGET IT\u201d!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Here\u2019s the question:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CARBS IF YOU DON\u2019T EAT BREAD, RICE, PASTA, or CEREAL?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well\u2026 Those that know I can give some serious unexpected facial expressions, know that I\u2019m almost startled when I get asked this. Honestly, I am bad at holding back my feelings. Just saying sometimes, they are so spontaneous.&nbsp;&nbsp; No control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>My answer:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fruits and Vegetables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You would think I handed someone a hand grenade with that answer. Usually, I eat about a serving of 2 veggies and a protein each meal. Give or take the day and my exercise regimen, I could eat lots more or a little less. I do not count calories, so I couldn\u2019t tell you exactly how much I ate, honestly. You do not need those types of complex carbs in your life as much as you think you do.&nbsp;&nbsp; I love this comeback, \u201cbut I\u2019m from the south, we eat rice with everything.\u201d No joke, STOP!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>No one said you had to continue that tradition.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>I made this hearty vegetable chicken soup for my family. It was delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/secureservercdn.net\/192.169.220.223\/942.631.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_4988-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-220\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/secureservercdn.net\/192.169.220.223\/942.631.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_4989-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-221\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I simply chose a variety of my favorite veggies. I chopped broccoli, carrots, butternut squash, bell pepper, yellow squash, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cauliflower.&nbsp;&nbsp; I sprayed with EVOO, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. I roasted them in the oven about 30-40 minutes on 350, tossing every 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I deboned two rotisserie chickens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dumped all that in a large soup pot. Added 2- 32oz boxes of chicken stock and 1-32oz box of vegetable stock. 1 bay leaf and turned on to simmer for about 40 minutes.&nbsp;&nbsp; YUMMY!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>STRONG Appetite!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m Hungry As a past teacher of 15 years, I have said on numerous occasions \u201cThere are no stupid questions?\u201d You tend to forget as adults, people are still learning about the whole health and fitness industry because it changes every day.
