I\u2019m like, yes! What about ice cream? Yes! Coconut cake? Yes! Bread pudding? Yes! Banana nut bread? Yes! Gumbo? Yes!&nbsp;&nbsp; EVERYTHING.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I took my mother\u2019s award winning, delicious, to die for pecan pie recipe and flipped it to paleo. Pecan Pie was a staple dessert in my home growing up. The recipe has been passed down from one generation to the next. I have a hard time saying no to these pies. About 3 years, I decided to swap some ingredients and see what came out of it. Let\u2019s just say\u2026&nbsp;<em><strong>YOU COULD NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My Mother\u2019s Pies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frozen mini pie shells<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup sugar; 3 TBLS butter; 3 eggs; 1 cup Karo syrup; 1 tsp vinegar; 1 tsp vanilla; 3 TBLS flour; 1 cup pecans \u2013 Mix together<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour in pie shells \u2013 Bake at 350 until they are bubbling on top and golden brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"562\" height=\"999\" src=\"http:\/\/www.strongwithmitzi.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mitzi-Pecan-pie-562x999-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.strongwithmitzi.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mitzi-Pecan-pie-562x999-2.png 562w, https:\/\/www.strongwithmitzi.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Mitzi-Pecan-pie-562x999-2-169x300.png 169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 562px) 100vw, 562px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My Paleo Pecan Pies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crust: 2 cups almond flour; 1 egg yolk; pinch of salt; \u00bc cup of ghee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mold into pie shells in a cupcake pan or mini pie pan Bake 10-12 minutes on 400 \u2013 Take out<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Filling: 1 cup coconut sugar; 3 TBLS ghee; 3 eggs; 1 cup maple syrup or honey; 1 tsp vinegar; 1 tsp vanilla; 3 TBLS arrowroot; 1 cup pecans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour mixture in pie shells<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake at 350 until bubbling and golden brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ask me and I\u2019ll be glad to help flip your next family meal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mitzi<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOW TO FLIP A RECIPE!
